What was the nature of Innova Biosciences’ challenge?

Value in businesses is built up in many different ways. Innova Biosciences had two key challenges. Initially, this was to build value through signing strategic partnerships that would open up routes to market for their products. Later on in the company’s journey, the challenge was around building and structuring an executive and senior management team to drive company growth. Most importantly, the team sought to grow revenues and mature their business capable of generating a profitable 30+ person operation.

How did Innova Partnerships help?

With our experience in negotiation and collaboration, Innova Partnerships helped Innova Biosciences secure a number of initial strategic deals. This ranged from the company’s first distributor agreement, a strategic partnership with AbD Serotec, a large multinational, and then a license agreement to access additional complementary technology with Cancer Research Technology UK.

Many companies state that people are one of their biggest assets. We helped Innova Biosciences bring on a new chairman and as the company grew, worked with the board of directors to structure a senior management team to take the business forwards.

What was the outcome of our involvement?

Opening up routes to market through strategic deal making enabled Innova Biosciences to grow international sales. The company’s products are now sold in over fifty countries around the world.

Bringing into the company a new chairman and then subsequently working with the board to incentivise and strengthen a senior management team, has led to a focussed organisation that is delivering world-class products and services across the globe.

Innova Partnerships’ involvement has led to a 50-fold increase in sales revenues with a corresponding increase in the private equity share price.
